Buy train tickets for Tukums and Skulte lines cheaper via the Mobilly application.
With the gradual introduction of the unified public transport ticketing system, the discount for tickets purchased electronically for all routes on the Riga-Tukums and Riga-Skulte railway lines is changing.
Road Transport Administration: “Up to now, JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” has applied a 5% and 10% discount to the base tariff of the tickets purchased electronically depending on the ticket price. The base tariff will not be increased at the moment and will remain at the current level. By connecting to the unified public transport ticket system with the route Riga-Tukums, Riga – Skulte JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” will only sell tickets at the full base tariff, while discounts up to 10% for tickets purchased electronically will be determined by the electronic ticket sellers only.”
Passengers are increasingly choosing to purchase their train tickets electronically, as shown by the data gathered by JSC “Pasažieru vilciens”*: in the first half of 2022 alone, 43.8% of tickets were purchased electronically, which is 5.7% more than in the same period in 2021.
